Because CEO's make more in a day than most of us make in a year & sweatshops are here again & we're bing downsized, out-sourced and off-loaded & corporations get most of the welfare & we're working longer hours with fewer benefits & we don't have time for our children & the American dream is slipping away & immigrants, welfare moms and Japan are not the problem & inequality hurts all of us, even the wealthy
& a woman gets 72¢ on a man's dollar & more black men have been to prison than to college & the rich get tax cuts while our teachers get pay cuts & the top 1% has more wealth than the bottom 92% & we're still waiting from trickle down & the problem is not the politicians but the corporations that buy them & 2 million of us have seen our wealth double while 200 million of us have become more insecure & people made this system and people can change it
& labor is on the move again & what we do is more important than what we own & the minimum wage should be a living wage & every child should have a fair chance & because when we all come together, there's nothing we can't do, We Are United For a Fair Economy.
Back side has information about United For a Fair Economy, a national organization founded in 1994 to focus public attention on economic inequality in the United States -- and the implications of inequality on American life and labor. We provide educational resources, work with grassroots groups, and support creative & legislative action to reduce inequality.
