Only a Northern Song, George Harrison, 1967. Willibrord Baar Postcard.
Dick James and George Martin are the biggest shareholders of Northern Songs Ltd, a music publishing company Paul and John also had a small part in. All the songs made by the Beatles were owned by this company so also the rights, including George's songs. He didn't like that at all and complained about it in this song, Only a Northern Song.
Because it was on the Yellow Submarine album I used the characters of the comic movie and added Dick (with hat) and George Martin (as the captain). In the background golden disks. Dick and George are leering at each other, while George's hand forms a pistol. --Willibrord Baar. Yellow Submarine.
