Greetings From Neptune. The Last Gas Planet. Postcard
The eight planet has 8 moons; 6 found by voyager 2 in 1989. Like Jupiter, Saturn, and its near-twin Uranus, Neptune is a giant gas-planet with rings. Its vivid blue atmosphere forever cloaks a deep shoreless ocean, and swirls with clud features like the Great Dark Spot - a storm the size of Earth. The little moon Neried's bizarre orbit wanders deep into space, while huge Triton travels strangely backwards and may be a former planet captured by Neptune's powerful gravity with nitrogen gaysers exploding above sur-realistic landscapes of pink and blue ice, Triton is the coldest place in the Solar System - but always a hot spot for tourists!
