This 3-D Postcard brings the art to life. This lenticular brings greater depth to this image.

"Mother and Child," is a painting made by Gustav Klimt in 1905-1906. It is a painting of Emilie Flöge, a famous fashion designer and also one of Klimt's lifelong companions, holding in her arms her nephew, Helene. "Mother and Child" basically signifies maternal love. Emilie Flöge fondly stares at the baby Helene with her face alight with tenderness and devotion. The infant, wrapped into fine muslin, nestles calmly in her arms as if comfortable in the warmth of maternal protection. Klimt's portrait is so much more realistic, rather than just an illustration of a mother and child. It is a strong testimony to the depth of emotional bonding between the two. The mother's protective gesture and child serene expression dehydrate from within something deep inside them that crosses over words.

It is this capability of art to elicit emotions from its viewer that truly allows it to resonate with him on such a deep, personal level. The themes in "Mother and Child" are universal-love, tenderness, and beauty in human relations-therefore, it manages to do this with remarkable efficacy.
